Divorce Isn’t Just a Legal Matter, It’s a Life Matter
The founder of Simpson Legal Group, LLC in Council Bluffs, Shannon Simpson, understands that the issues involved in divorce and family law aren’t simply legal matters; they are life matters. The deterioration of a marriage, the end of best laid plans and the disruption of lives can unleash a flurry of intense emotions and a parade of overwhelming challenges that don’t necessarily appear in court filings.
Every person going through the divorce process has their own unique questions and concerns and their own story to tell. Shannon listens to those stories, developing personal relationships with each client based on trust, respect and compassion.
Two Decades Practicing Divorce and Family Law – Exclusively
A graduate of Northern Arizona University who earned her law degree from Creighton University School of Law, Shannon has focused exclusively on divorce and family law matters for over 20 years. During this time, she developed an approach and philosophy to family law matters that is both consistent and personally tailored to each client.
Shannon’s deep experience in every aspect of family law, including the most complex custody, property division and asset valuation matters, is complemented by a natural sense of empathy. Clients can trust her straightforward, clear-eyed guidance and feel that they are being taken care of, whether in the courtroom, at the negotiating table or over a cup of coffee. They know that Shannon will be there when and where they need her.
Shannon has been an active member of the Council Bluffs community for over 20 years. A neighbor, wife, and the mother of three daughters, Shannon is involved in numerous professional organizations, including the Iowa and Nebraska state and federal bar associations, the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.
Shannon is admitted to practice law in both the state and federal courts of Iowa and Nebraska as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
